UCL SECReT is the new national Security Science Doctoral Research Training centre. UCL SECReT brings together over 20 research groups at UCL and 30 partners from industry, academia and government to offer the most comprehensive, integrated 4-year PhD programme for students wishing to pursue security or crime-related research.

This year UCL SECReT offers 13 scholarships paying full PhD fees and approx £17,000 per annum as stipend for each of four years.

You are invited to attend the Open Evening for UCL SECReT, the £17m national Security Science Doctoral Research Training centre. The centre promotes RCUK's new 4-year PhD format considered a superior alternative to the usual 3-year PhD. UCL SECReT brings together over 20 research groups at UCL and 30 partners from industry, academia and government. The Open Evening is intended primarily for prospective students and will discuss the course structure, logistics and the scholarships on offer. Current students and academics will be on hand to discuss their experiences and provide guidance on how best to apply.
